Medical Claim Collection Specialists Supervisor

Primary Responsibility: Perform all Medical Billing Claim Collection and AR Management (Insurance & Patient) processes, quality & assurance processes, and coordinate with the allocated teams to maximize the prompt Collection of Federal, State, and Private Commercial IN/OON, in addition to PIP MVA, and WC claims.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

· Serve as one of the insurance collection experts and go-to person for the assigned processes.
· Q&A of the assigned portion of the RCM operations related to AR management.
· Monitor and advise on how to optimize collection procedures to improve the efficiency of the overall billing & collection processes.
· Analyze trends impacting the collection of claims and provide feedback as necessary to the Claim Entry and other Departments.
· Advise or take appropriate action to optimize processes and procedures.
· Keep up to date with carrier rule changes and industry standards, and distribute the information within the teams and practices.
· Cooperate with any other department as necessary to promptly collect the maximum reimbursements.
· Maintain a library of information/tools related to collection and processes, and contribute to Company’s archives.
· Contribute to providing training for new and existing members on applicable collection processes and procedures.

Education

· High School Diploma or GED required
· Medical Billing & Coding Certification required

Knowledge

· Expert knowledge of Medical Claim Collections
· Expert working knowledge with collecting Federal, State, and Private IN/OON Commercial Insurance Claims, in addition to Personal Injury and Worker Compensation Insurance Claims
· Expert knowledge of Payer Regulations

Experience

· Extensive experience in Medical Claims Collection
· Auditing and Quality & Assurance Experience
· Supervisory Experience Preferred

Additional Preferred Skills and Requirements

· Proficient verbal and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Proficient with productivity tools, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Proficient with computer programs

Physical Demands

It requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.

Compensation

· The pay rate and compensation structure will be finalized in the offer letter for the chosen candidates. The pay rate advertised may be used as a reference.
· Supplemental Pay: Bonus production pay based on KPIs
